Huong Kratochvil

About

Huong uses 2DIR spectroscopy to study human islet amyloid polypeptide (hIAPP). She is interested in the aggregation process of this peptide as well as fibril polymorphism.

Huong received her B.S. in chemistry in 2010 from the University of Texas at Austin. In Austin, she worked with Lauren Webb on the synthesis of a guanosine triphosphate analog for vibrational Stark effect spectroscopy.

Outside the lab, Huong enjoys many outdoor activities like biking and scuba diving. She's also interested in learning many languages and trying new foods.
